Hello everyone,
I am not going to make it to the Reno RT Booklovers convention this year. Yesterday, my family and I were headed toward Nevada when we hit an ice storm on a pass in Utah. The roads became extremely slick. Our truck started skidding, but my husband was able to gain enough control that we veered toward the median instead of the steep drop-off on the other side of the road. We are all fine, but there was a lot of damage done to our truck and the RV we were hauling.
With heavy hearts, we were forced to return home and attend to insurance claims, vehicle repairs, and all the joys that come with car accidents.
I am so truly sorry. I was looking forward to meeting those of you who are planning on attending.
I’ve already received so much love from you guys, and I appreciate it more than I can say.
Oh, how scary! I am so glad you are all okay!

Thank you! You are right—we walked away without any injuries, and I’m so thankful. So far, claims are going smoothly. Our insurance company has been pretty wonderful, which is a huge blessing!
