October Post—NaNoWriMo, New Fantasy Series, & Kdrama Love

Hey everyone!

It’s that time of year again—I’m prepping for NaNoWriMo! (In case you’ve never heard of it, NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month, and it’s a big, month-long event in November.) I’m tackling it with some of my favorite writing friends, so this year should be pretty awesome.

Just for fun, I thought I’d let you know which of my novels were NaNo projects. Here they are:

Pippa of Lauramore: Camp Nano—July 2014

Anwen of Primewood: NaNo—November 2014

Rosie of Triblue: NaNo—November 2015

The Marquise and Her Cat: Camp NaNo—April 2016

If the Summer: Camp Nano—April 2018

27 Ways to Mend His Broken Heart: Camp NaNo—July 2019

This year, I’m working on the first book in my all-new fantasy romance series, The Riven Kingdoms. I’m so excited to leap into this new world and get to know the characters. Forest of Firelight will release in 2020. My designer has already finished the cover, and it’s gorgeous. I cannot wait to share it with you.

In other news, I’m still obsessing over Asian dramas, especially Korean ones. My friends have made some stellar suggestions. So far my favorites have been What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim, Healer, and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (AKA Goblin).

If you have any suggestions, please share them with me!

I think that’s about it! 10 Ways to Survive Christmas with Your Ex: A 27 Ways Novella will release on November first!

This book will be my last contemporary for a while. I will write more; I’m just taking a break to work on fantasy for a while.

Have a great week!

Shari :)

PS: Glitter & Sparkle will be on a US & UK Countdown deal October 30th-November 5th.

  1. NaNo is my favorite time of year! I love seeing what everyone is writing, reading snippets, joining in the energy, and writing like the wind. Or trying to.

I ADORE HEALER! It’s one of my top five favorite Kdramas.

    1. YES! Isn’t it awesome!?!? I’m not usually big into that much action, but the romance pushed it into one of my favorite shows ever. I LOVED it.

And I am going to stop myself before I keep gushing. Because I could go on for a while. LOL!

      1. You can gush to me about Healer ANYTIME, anywhere–here, FB, you name it! It’s been a few years since I saw it, and you’re making me hungry to rewatch.

And tell me Eternal Love isn’t the most GORGEOUS song?? Mygosh, I love that song. And the way they twisted the love triangle and turned that trope on its head!

Wow, yes, I can talk about that drama all night. :D

      2. Yes!!! It’s a GORGEOUS song!!! I looked it up on YouTube yesterday because I can’t find it on iTunes. 😭

And yes to everything you said! It was so perfect! And that scene on the rooftop. “Can’t it be me?” Oh my word.

        Go watch it again!!!
