I adore this time of year, and I have before Pinterest made it popular. I’ve already consumed more than my share of pumpkin spice lattes, baked pumpkin bread, and there is a pumpkin candle sitting on my end table. It’s not burning because the scent ended up being atrocious, but it’s there all the same.
October is a busy month for our family. It seems like my planner just keeps filling up. When it comes to writing, here is what my month looks like:
1. Finish gathering information for Pippa from the last of my beta readers.
2. Make changes as needed.
3. Print the manuscript and do a final read-through.
4. Set the whole thing aside and let out a huge sigh of relief.
5. Work on the outline and character sketches for the second novel in the series.
I will pull the manuscript back out mid-November for the very last read-through, make changes as needed, and then it will go off for editing! Very exciting!
What does October hold for you? If you are a writer, what are you working on? What’s on your to-read list?
October and into fall always holds special dreams for me! Starting to work again on my novel…exciting and scary at the same time!

I know exactly what you mean! So much of who we are goes into our writing, and it can be terrifying and wonderful all at once!
