Eldentimber Will Be Leaving Kindle Unlimited

After a long run in Kindle Unlimited, we’ve decided to take Eldentimber wide. What does that mean exactly? Well, simply put, the series will no longer be exclusive to Amazon, therefore it will no longer be available to borrow with a Kindle Unlimited subscription. It will be made available at all the major online retailers, including Barnes and Noble, iBooks, Kobo, and Google Play.

I’ve already received quite a few questions, so I’m going to try to answer the popular ones today.

  1. Are you taking all your books out of Kindle Unlimited? No. All of my contemporaries and Silver & Orchids will remain in KU for now. I plan to keep several books in the program at all times.
  2. Do you dislike the program or Amazon? Not at all. In fact, my husband and I are subscribers. I think it’s a great a way to try out books from new-to-you authors, and I’ve found many favorites that way.
  3. What does this mean for the fifth Eldentimber book that’s scheduled to come out at the beginning of next year? That is a good question. We’ve thought a lot about it, and we’ve decided to put it into KU for three months. After that, it too will be taken out of the program and distributed to the other retailers.
  4. Why not leave all your books in KU? Because there are a lot of readers who prefer other stores, and I want my books to be available to everyone. Also, from a business point of view, it’s  never wise to “leave all your books in one basket.” ;)

If you would like to borrow the books with KU, please do so now! Rosie is already out of the program, and the others are following soon.

Here’s the last day for each of the books (in the order they will leave the program):

Anwen of Primewood: September 4th

Pippa of Lauramore: September 20th

Seirsha of Errinton: September 26th

Audette of Brookraven: September 29th

Please, let me know if you have any more questions.
