This post is for all my writer friends. Many of you probably know how to add HTML to your Kindle book descriptions, but I’m going to tell you about the shortcut I use.
First of all, KDP has provided us with a list of supported tags and attributes. You can check it out here. Obviously, that’s a great place to start. If you’re like me, however, you might not have played with HTML too much. And by ‘too much’, I mean ever. Still, I like my book description to stand out, and I like to separate the short teaser from the rest of the text.
So here’s what I do: I write the description for my book’s page on my website using WordPress, and then I toggle over to the HTML tab. I check to make sure I don’t have any extra spaces, and then I copy the whole thing and paste it to the book description in my KDP dashboard.
It works like a charm. Seriously, it’s that easy. If you would like, you can check out how it looks on my Amazon page for Pippa of Lauramore.
