Siersha of Errinton Update (Eldentimber Book 3)

As many of you know, I’ve been working on the rough draft for Seirsha of Errinton, the third book in The Eldentimber Series. Well, guess what–I finished it! Typing out those final words has never felt so good.

This book was a little harder for me to write. Unlike Pippa or Anwen, Seirsha was a hard character to get to know. On the outside she’s reserved and a little aloof, but on the inside she’s very sensitive. In some ways  I feel she has taken on some of the qualities I struggle with myself, and that made her infinitely more difficult. This project was a little more personal than I had intended.

As a book, it’s darker than the previous two. I definitely wrote it with older teens and adults in mind, but I tried to deal with the difficult subjects as gracefully as possible. It’s important to me that my books are clean, but it’s also important that they are honest.

I’m going to toss in a little spoiler for Pippa of Lauramore right now, so if you haven’t read it, you might want to stop reading–for those of you who have been begging me for more Rigel, this is your book. Don’t despair when you don’t see him in Anwen of Primewood. I promise I haven’t forgotten him (and how could I?).

Now that the rough draft is finished, I’m tucking it away for awhile. I don’t plan on picking it up again until the beginning of August. If all goes as planned, the release will be scheduled for either December or January!
