I’ve decided I hate titling blog posts. I have enough trouble coming up with names for my books. Does anyone else have that issue? It’s probably just me.
Anyway, good morning! It’s actually chilly here in western Colorado. It will get hot later today, but it really feels like autumn now. I just love this time of year. We’re starting to see a tiny bit of orange and yellow in the trees, and up in our nearby mountains, we should have full color in a couple of weeks.
I’ve been in the mood for autumn treats. What’s your favorite? If you let me know on my Facebook page in the comments section of the pinned post, you will be entered into a drawing for a Kindle edition of Puss without Boots: A Puss in Boots Retelling.
Speaking of Puss without Boots, its release is only eight days away! It’s hard to stick with my writing schedule around releases, but I’ve been doing pretty good. I have myself on a strict five-days-a-week, 2000-words-a-day schedule for my Rapunzel retelling. My plan is to be finished with the first draft by October 14th. There’s a cushion in there in case one of my days goes awry, which some always tend to do. If everything goes perfectly, I will actually finish the 11th.
Oh, and the cover is finished, so I’ll be doing a big reveal on the 15th of this month. If all goes perfectly, I plan to release Rapunzel on December 16th. We will see.
Also, just as a side note, we might be moving again. Yes, I know, we just moved last year. We are very happy with where we’re at now, but we’re renting, and it’s time to buy something more permanent. We have talked a lot about traveling for a while instead of purchasing something, but we decided we would like a home base. So that’s what we’re doing now. We’ve been talking to lenders, I’ve been hyperventilating due to the idea of chaining ourselves to something, and I’ve been picking out paint samples. Because that’s what’s more important than finding the actual house, right? The paint?
Anyway. We’ll see. Right now I’m just trying to focus on my next book and my current cup of coffee. Have a wonderful day, everyone!
Can’t wait to read! I’ve just read the first 3 of the Eldentimber books in 3 days and now on the last then I will start on the others – they are amazing!
