Current Projects – September Update

canvacurrentprojectsblog

It’s time for an update! As always, you can keep up-to-date with my current and future projects by checking out my “Current Projects” page.

Puss without Boots: A Puss in Boots Retelling

  • Release: September 16, 2016
  • Series: Fairy Tale Kingdoms, Book 1. This is the first in a series of novel and novella-length fairy tale retellings.
  • Genre: Young Adult Fairy Tale

Status: The book is finished, formatted, and in its very last proofread.

Imprisoned in Chains of Gold: A Rumpelstilzchen Retelling Novelette

  • Release: November 2016
  • Series: Fairy Tale Kingdoms 1.5
  • Genre: Young Adult Fairy Tale

Status: This short novelette is finished and about to be sent out for copyediting.

Shine and Shimmer

  • Tentative Release: Spring 2016
  • Series: Glitter and Sparkle, Book 2
  • Genre: Young Adult Contemporary

Status: The first draft is complete, and I’ll start on revisions soon. I was going to release this in autumn of 2016, but it’s a summer book, so I think the release will be more enjoyable if I wait until spring.

Rapunzel Retelling (Unnamed)

  • Expected Release: January 2017
  • Series: Fairy Tale Kingdoms, Book 2
  • Genre: Young Adult Fairy Tales

Status: The book is outlined and I’ve started writing it! If all goes as planned, the first draft should be complete by October 14th.

Beauty in the Red Hood: A Beauty and the Beast Retelling

  • Expected Release: March 2017
  • Series: Fairy Tale Kingdoms, Book 3
  • Genre: Young Adult Fairy Tale

Status: This one has temporarily been pushed back because the Rapunzel retelling needs to come first in the series. I have started writing, and I will return to it early this winter.
