Our house hunting fiasco is about to come to an end. We close on our new home tomorrow at four o’clock.
Can I tell you how excited I am? (And terrified something will go wrong–though everyone has assured me that at this point we’re good.)
We’ve been crashing with our very generous in-laws for the last two weeks. They are amazing, but we are so ready to have our own space again… a space that’s slightly larger than the fifth-wheel camper we’ve taken over. On the upside, we’ll be better prepared when it comes time to buy our RV down the road, so that’s good.
The dogs are ready to have their own area, too. Jake’s parents live on five acres, so they’ve had lots of room to run. The downside is that there are no actual fences, so the pups have to be carefully supervised.
On a good note, Gunther found a nice spot for his bed while we are here:
I’m hoping to get pictures of the new house tomorrow, and I’ll post them when I get a chance. I imagine it’s going to be a little crazy!
