It’s the third week of my 2019 Holiday Event! Every Friday afternoon from now until the end of December, I will be posting new events. We have a lot going on right now! Let’s get right to it.

In the book, Riley learns how to make soap. We’ll be making Rustic Orange Rebatch Soap here on the blog next Friday! I like to buy my soaping supplies from Brambleberry, but you can order from Hobby Lobby, Amazon, or wherever you like.
If you’d like to soap with me, you’ll need:
- 3 lbs Grated Rebatch Soap
- 10″ Silicone Soap Mold (A bread pan will work well too, just make sure you line it with freezer paper. You might need a few other little plastic containers in case you have extra soap.)
- 1 TBSP Dried, Grated Orange or Lemon Peel
- 1.2 oz Orange Essential Oil (measured by weight)
- Distilled water
- Slow cooker
- Large Spoon
This orange soap makes great Christmas gifts, and since we’re making rebatch, you don’t have to worry about working with lye! This is a great intro to soaping! I hope you’ll join me next week!
