Hey everyone!
Summer is in full swing, and I’ve spent most of it in front of my computer–ha! We did have a chance to go camping a few weeks ago, and even if the mosquitoes tried to carry us away, it was nice to get out.
In the last few weeks, I’ve been tweaking the website and the newsletter, and I tackled a project I’ve been meaning to get to for a while–I compiled all my newsletter bonus novelettes and short stories into one easy-to-download ebook. If you’re a newsletter subscriber, I’ll be sharing the link next week. (If you haven’t subscribed to the newsletter, you can do that here.)
In book news, The Gilded Fae releases a week from today. You can read a sneak peek of the prologue here. Since these books are standalones, you don’t necessarily need to read The Masked Fae first, but I highly recommend it.
Jake and I are getting ready to dive into our last Crown and Crest book. We’ve been plotting and brainstorming. It’s always a little bittersweet to plan out the last book in a series. I love these characters so much.
I’ve also started the very early prep stages for next year’s connected fantasy series. I don’t want to give away too much yet, but it’s a fantasy adventure romance trilogy set in a seaport village that has some pirate vibes. And a fun little teaser: it takes place in one of my previous worlds, though we’ve never visited this specific place before.
I’m getting to know the characters and imagining the setting, and I’m going to schedule the covers. That step always makes it feel so real–once those covers are on the designer’s schedule, it’s happening.
And with that, I’m going to get back to work! I hope you all enjoy the preview of The Gilded Fae!
Wishing you the best,
Shari
