Good morning!
I have a story for you. Let me set the scene: it’s five-thirty in the morning here, and Jake left for work about thirty minutes ago. I brought my laptop to bed because it’s chilly. I’m working, minding my own business, wishing I had tea but don’t because our mugs are in the dishwasher. (Did you know they make countertop dishwashers that can fit in an RV? They do, and they’re magical.) Anyway, the cat suddenly leaps in the air and falls back to the bed.
I don’t think much of it, since cats are weird. But she keeps pawing the bed…then jumping back. Pawing and jumping. Finally, with growing dread, I realize she has something. So I get up, turn on the overhead light, and there’s a half-dead moth battling for its life on the bed. Disgusted, I hurry to get a cup so I can scoop it up and send it outside, where it can die in peace. But when I come back, it’s gone.
Gone.
Mittens is still looking for it, sad and upset she lost it. I moved back all the covers and blankets. No moth. She keeps pouncing on the covers occasionally, making me edgy.
So…all the bedding is getting washed today. Moral of the story: cats are cute but annoying.
Okay, moving on. I’ve been doing these posts on Thursdays, but I decided to bump this one up to Tuesday this week since it’s the last day of the Crown and Crest: Complete Series digital box set sale. Right now, you can grab it for only $0.99, but it will go back to its normal price tomorrow. This is an international sale, so everyone can buy a discounted copy. *throws confetti*
In other news, I’ve ordered way too much tea in the last few weeks. (Three orders this month. It’s ridiculous.) I blame fall and my affinity for flavored teas when the leaves start to change. I’ll list my current favorites below.
We’re also prepping to move to our next stop. We’re staying in Colorado through the holidays but moving about an hour and a half away from where we’re currently at. I’m going to miss hanging out closer to the mountains, but we’ve been dry camping for about six months now, and I think I’ve reached my threshold for roughing it. (If you can “rough it” in a modern fifth wheel. That’s debatable, but I will argue timed showers are hard.)
Okay, let’s leap into things I’m loving this week:
Tea — Yeah, it’s on the list again. No, this isn’t a sponsored thing. I’m just waxing poetically about my love for all things tea. My current favorites are all Harney and Sons, and here they are, in no particular order: Decaf Ceylon, Black Jasmine, and Hot Apple Spice. Pro tip: Add a few splashes of apple juice or cider to the Hot Apple Spice tea. Just do it.
Chronicles of GHOST— I know, it’s kind of awkward to list since I had a part in its creation, but…I really do love it. I can’t wait until The Werewolf Hunter and the Apprentice releases on Monday. Prep your coziest blanket and favorite warm drink. It’s gonna be fun.
Zucchini Bread — My mom’s plants are going crazy (I think they know their seasonal death is imminent), so she’s been making a ton of zucchini bread for us. And do you know the only thing that’s better than homemade zucchini bread? Not having to make it myself.
Current Sales/Promos:
Crown and Crest: The Complete Series digital box set sale: I’ll say it again, this is the last day you can get it for $0.99. Grab it while you can.
This is also your last chance to pre-order Werewolf Hunter for $3.99. It will go up to $4.99 after the release. If you want it in your Amazon digital library, reserve your copy now.
That’s all for today! I’m going to get back to release prep! I’ll talk to you again next week!
Wishing you the best,
Shari
