Morning Musings: November 8th

We got our first snow this week, which made my kids happy. I’m on the fence still. I think it’s pretty, but I also don’t like to be cold. This morning, my phone suggested I look at last year’s photo memories. We were visiting Bahia Honda State Park in the Florida Keys, soaking up the island life and not getting snowed on. We went with Jake’s parents, and it was a great vacation. I’m definitely missing the Keys this morning. But I’m happy to be home for the holidays, snow and all.

In other news, the proofread for Blood and Buttercups is finished. I have to work on a chapter this morning that needs some tweaking, and then I’ll send it off to my typo hunters and ARC team on Monday! So far, the feedback has been really positive, and I’m thrilled. It’s fun to finally get this story out of my head and into a book.

A few things I’m enjoying this week:

Favorite Tea of the Week: I’ve been participating in Adagio’s CommuniTEA group, trying new samples every day of November, and this week, we had the Ali Shan Special from their Master’s website. It was pretty amazing. It’s an oolong, but it leans green. It’s soft, floral, and slightly sweet, and I really enjoyed it.

This Garlic Butter Chicken Orzo Recipe — Yeah, this was awesome. Definitely try this one if you like butter, mushrooms, garlic, and happiness.

This Year’s Turkey Tree: It’s a scraggly thing we picked up at Hobby Lobby, but I love it. We threw some lights on its sparse boughs, made a few preschool-style ornaments, and zip-tied a turkey to the top. We’re classy around here.

This week’s sales/specials:

Nothing this week. All my focus is on the upcoming release! Don’t forget to pre-order your copy if you’d like it for your Amazon library!

Talk to you all next week!

Wishing you the best,

Shari :)
